The DMC Magic Paper A4 Medium Grid is a practical, water-soluble embroidery transfer sheet designed to make pattern transfer quick and effortless. This A4 sheet features a 4 mm × 4 mm squared grid, helping you accurately map out and scale your designs before stitching.
Magic Paper is a complete game changer when stitching on clothing, homewares, or dark fabrics. Transferring embroidery patterns onto fabric—especially thick or dark materials—can be tricky and time-consuming, but Magic Paper makes it simple and precise.
Simply sketch your design onto the printed grid, cut it out, peel off the backing paper, and stick it onto your fabric. Once you are happy with the positioning, stitch directly through the soft, fabric-like transfer paper using the grid and your design as a guide. When your stitching is complete, rinse under water for a few seconds and the Magic Paper will dissolve completely, leaving only your finished embroidery behind.
The low-tack adhesive allows you to reposition the design before stitching so you can place it exactly where you want it. It is especially helpful on stretch fabrics, as it stabilises the material while you stitch and helps prevent puckering.
