Tatting Collage – Lindsay Rogers – GMC Publications

Tatting Collage explores the creative potential of tatting, a traditional handmade lace technique often used for doilies, handkerchief edges, and collars. Using a single thread and a small shuttle, tatting stitches are made from two half-hitch knots, yet with a bit of imagination they can create intricate and beautiful tatting designs. The craft is portable, simple, and perfect for creating on-the-go, and the book’s concealed spiral binding makes it especially easy to use anywhere.
This tatting patterns book focuses on combining small tatting motifs to create attractive designs that can be applied to cards, paper, fabric, and other craft projects. It is ideal for anyone looking for manageable, creative projects without the need to handle large or complex tatting pieces. Tatting Collage includes 65 patterns and motifs, plus 60 design ideas, ranging from gift tags and bookmarks to cards, paperweights, and decorative items.
While the book does not teach basic tatting stitches, it assumes readers are familiar with fundamental techniques and includes a further reading list for beginners. It also features useful tips, a tools and techniques section, and clear guidance on how to follow the patterns and designs. Suitable for all experience levels, Tatting Collage inspires creativity and experimentation, helping crafters create unique, satisfying, and imaginative tatting projects in a short amount of time.
