The DMC Magic Paper is a practical, water-soluble embroidery transfer paper designed to make pattern transfer quick and effortless. These blank A5 sheets allow you to draw or trace any design and easily apply it to your chosen fabric.
Magic Paper is a complete game changer when stitching on clothing, homewares, or dark fabrics. Transferring embroidery patterns onto fabric—especially thick or dark materials—can be tricky and time-consuming, but Magic Paper makes it simple and precise.
Sketch or trace your design onto the sheet, cut it out, peel off the backing, and stick it onto your fabric. Once you are happy with the positioning, stitch directly through the soft, fabric-like transfer paper using your design as a guide. When your stitching is complete, rinse under water for a few seconds and the Magic Paper will dissolve completely, leaving only your finished embroidery behind.
The low-tack adhesive allows you to reposition the design before stitching so you can place it exactly where you want it. It is especially helpful on stretch fabrics, as it stabilizes the material while you stitch and helps prevent puckering.
